Best Dressed Celebrities of the Week

Hi everyone! It's week five of my list of the best dressed celebrities of the week. This week's picks completely surprised me by taking some major fashion risks on the red carpet! The edgy women turned sweet and vice versa. I still saw a lot of color throughout all of the red carpet/event looks, especially shades of red, pink, and purple. Another trend I noticed while selecting this week's best dressed celebrities was body conscious dresses. Celebrities are starting to show off those rock solid summer bodies that they have been working so hard on. They are also revealing more and more skin as the weather gets warmer. Nonetheless, this week's five best dressed celebrities are nothing short of fabulous and they want you to know it! Let's see who they are...

xoxo, Taylor.

5. Camilla Belle in a beautiful Prada dress, Rupert Sanderson heels, a Christian Louboutin clutch, and Cartier jewelry at the Chanel Artist Dinner while attending the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. I absolutely LOVE how '60's Belle looks at this event! The blue flowers make the dress very feminine, as do the sheer three-quarter length sleeves. The navy pumps and simple earrings kept the look classic, making it appropriate for the occasion. The vamped-up hair and smoky blue cat eye tie everything together perfectly! I admire how Camilla Belle dresses because she never lets the outfit wear her; she wears the outfit.
4. The Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks wearing a curve-hugging Antonio Berardi dress and carrying a Lara Bohnic clutch at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Banks looks unbelieveably gorgeous in this dress! The dress' pleated peplum really accentuates her waist, making her body look incredible. I also believe this dress has her appear to be rather tall and make her arms looks so toned! I really enjoyed seeing Banks' hair pulled back into a loose bun and the crimson lip was the perfect finishing touch.
3. Charlize Theron in a sexy Dion Lee number and Giuseppe Zanotti black strappy sandals at CinemaCon’s Big Screen Achievement Awards. When I saw Theron in this mini dress (as Rachel Zoe says) I DIED! Her body looks insane and I love the many illusions that the dress gives. The length hits right above the knee, which is completely age-appropriate for the star and hugs all the right places. I was pleased that she kept her hair and make-up more natural so that nothing had the chance to overpower the dress. Ms. Theron sent everyone into a fashion frenzy when they saw her in this dress and it's so evident why. She looks great!
2. Rihanna, wearing a Marchesa dress, Christian Louboutin heels, and Wilfredo Rosado jewels while attending the TIME100 Gala at the Lincoln Center in New York City. Before I begin, I know that there are plenty of people who did not particularly like how this dress fit/looked on Rihanna but I, personally, am obsessed with it! Rihanna definitely took a big risk by wearing a sweet, "good girl" dress but I am all about fashion risks and she killed it! The bodice of the dress is stunning and I love how full the skirt is. Also, this fuchsia color looks beautiful on Rihanna! However, I think she remained true to her edgy sense of style with her shaved hairstyle and black pumps. RiRi can let them all talk that talk because she looks like a rock star!

1. The always lovely Kate Hudson in a purple-sequined Jenny Packham dress and Edie Parker clutch at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Oh my god, if this is not a major fashion moment then I don't know what is. I mean Kate's post-baby body is remarkable! She is absolutely glowing while looking very fit. The dress, to me, was completely unexpected but still a pleasant surprise! Hudson looks so classy and chic and well...just beyond major! Now, for my favorite part of the entire look...the top bun! I was so excited to see her with this "it hairstyle" of the season. It ties everything together immaculately while looking very high fashion and glamourous. As I've said before, I was happy that the accessories were kept to a minimum so that the dress itself could shine. Kate Hudson, looking better than ever, is my number one best dressed celebrity of the week!

Best Dressed Celebrities of the Week

Here we go...week four of my list of the best dressed celebrities of the week! I have to say that this week's picks are pretty incredible. All five of these celebrities took major fashion risks and I LOVED it! Not only were their dresses incredible, but their shoes, hair, and make-up were too. It is so refreshing to see celebrities change up their normal "look" every once in awhile. Anyway, as you will see in this post, red has become a huge trend this week. I think that aside from black, red is one of the most flattering colors a woman can wear. So let's see who the five fashionable women are this week...

xoxo, Taylor.

5. How I Met Your Mother actress Cobie Smulders in a stunning Alexandra Vidal red dress at the European premiere of her latest movie The Avengers held in London. This dress is beyond beautiful! I love the mermaid silhouette and the detailing along the bottom as well as at the cuffs of the sleeves. Her hair looks very nice pulled back (I just wish the headband were black or red). Either way, Smulders looks so sensual and well...hot!

4. Actress Emily Blunt wearing Jason Wu and green Alice + Olivia pumps at the premiere of her new comedy The Five Year Engagement. Blunt looks so fresh and she glows in this Jason Wu number. The Alice + Olivia shoes make and emerald earrings the outfit! I just really admire how well this entire look was styled. Everything from her slicked back hair and rosy lips to her Valentino clutch made the outfit flow very nicely and remain balanced. Blunt is certainly evolving into a fashionista!

3. Blonde bombshell, and Vogue's May cover girl, Scarlett Johansson in a strapless Prada dress, Christian Louboutin red pumps, and Bulgari jewels at the European premiere of her new movie The Avengers held in London. I am so proud of Johansson for stepping outside of the box and trying something new! This look definitely tones down her natural sex appeal and allows her to look more high fashion. I am obsessed with peplum skirts at the moment so this dress immediately caught my eye, not to mention all of its gorgeous detailing. As far as the make-up and hair go...she nailed it! The braid across the crown of her head was genius because it went so well with the dress and I will always love a classic Scarlett Johansson red lip!

2. Actress and ultimate fashionista Camilla Belle in a white Reiss dress at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival jury lunch (left) and again in Jason Wu at the premiere of The Five Year Engagement. Both of these dresses show off Belle's slim and toned figure in the classiest of ways. The white dress (left) has a lovely A-line skirt and looks gorgeous against her skin. The shimmering Jason Wu number (right) is PHENOMENAL! I am dying over how great she looks in it. The key hole dropping from the collar gives the dress a little touch of sexiness but is very age appropriate for the starlet. Camilla Belle is as chic as ever!

1. The Lucky One actress Taylor Schilling sporting head-to-toe Calvin Klein Collection. I saw The Lucky One last night and Schilling gave an incredible performance! That being said, this look completely lives up to the hype surrounding the hot new movie. Everything about her in this dress is sheer perfection! The shade of gray and the belt are so wonderful and edgy. I like how she continued the edge with her sleek, straight hair and smoky eyes. Do not even get me started on how major these shoes are! All in all I have to say I was stunned when I saw Schilling in this outfit because I did not pick her out to be someone who could pull off the steamy badass look but she most certainly proved me wrong. Number one best dressed of the week, HANDS DOWN, goes to Ms. Taylor Schilling!

Style Crush: Elizabeth Olsen

As the younger sister of the dynamic duo Mary-Kate and Ashley, Elizabeth Olsen has emerged as a beautiful and incredibly talented actress. Olsen has balanced filming, events, and academics (graduating from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University) immaculately. Her big break was in the thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene, where she played a young woman struggling to re-assimilate with her family after escaping from an abusive cult. The film, and Olsen, got rave reviews and put her on the map in the film industry. She still continues to be an actress, starring in the upcoming films: Silent House, Peace, Love and Misunderstanding, Red Lights, Liberal Arts, and Kill Your Darlings.
Following in her stylish sisters' footsteps, Ms. Olsen has also put herself on the map in the fashion industry. She has been featured in many fashion magazines including: Marie Claire, Nylon, and Vogue. One of Mary-Kate and Ashley's lines Elizabeth and James was named after her and their brother James. She is extremely supportive of her sisters, in the fact that you will almost always spot her carrying a bag from their high-fashion line The Row. Olsen continuously looks stunning on every red carpet event she attends. She is a risk taker when it comes to red carpet fashion. Olsen seems to love colors, patterns and textures! The fabrics on the beautiful gowns she wears move so well with her body and flatter her womanly silhouette. She also has a very distinct sense of style when it comes to her day-to-day looks. She is commonly seen in corduroy pants and a great hat along with a cool pair of shades. Olsen has blossomed into an amazing and grounded young woman, sister, and actress and I, for one, cannot wait to see what is to come for her. With all of that being said, Elizabeth Olsen is my style crush of the moment! First, take a look at the trailer for her most recent film Silent House.

xoxo, Taylor.
Now, check out Olsen's incredible red carpet and day-to-day style!

Best Dressed Celebrities of the Week

It's week 3 of the five best dressed celebrities of the week! Black was everywhere this week. Everyone from Jessica Alba to Madonna was rocking it. However, there were several POC (pops of color) and stunning ball gowns that snuck themselves into the mix. As the weather gets more beautiful, we are starting to see celebrities show off their incredible bodies and luminous skin. While searching for this week's five best dressed celebrities I saw a lot of them wearing some of spring's hottest trends: floral prints, pastels, and bold hues. So let's not waist anymore time...Here are my five best dressed celebrities of the week!

xoxo, Taylor.
5. Actress Emma Roberts in an awesome sparkling black jacket, dark washed skinny jeans, and classic black pumps. Emma looks so effortlessly beautiful! I am going crazy over this jacket and I really liked how she kept the look simple by pairing it with jeans and black pumps. This was a good decision since the event she was attending was more relaxed than most. I think Emma looks tres chic and very appropriate for her age.
4. Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr in a sexy LBD and black pumps by Stella McCartney while attending the music video premiere for Paul McCartney's song 'My Valentine.' As if it weren't enough for Miranda Kerr to be married to Orlando Bloom AND be one of the sexiest women in the world, but now she goes and looks smokin' hot in this Stella McCartney number. She is one of the few women whose body looks phenomenal in this dress. I have been in love with the dress ever since it hit the runway back in September! Miranda looks so good in it and I love the POC she did by having a bright red lip.
3. J.Lo in a black sheer Catherine Malandrino dress paired with Christian Louboutin pumps (left) and again in a bright orange Victoria Beckham dress with strappy heels (right). J.Lo's body is UNREAL in these dresses! Everything from her long shiny hair to her glowing skin is right on point. I love how daring and fashion forward Ms. Lopez has become. Maybe it has something to do with the new man in her life? Well whatever it is, it's certainly working for her and her figure! J.Lo looks fabulous!
2. Penelope Cruz in a lovely pastel pink lace Dolce&Gabbana gown at the Rome premiere of her new movie To Rome with Love. Penelope has been looking so beautiful and refined lately and it makes me so happy! First off, one can never go wrong with a Dolce&Gabbana number and second, her hair looks amazing in the braided top bun. She looks so elegant and graceful. I think this dress was the perfect choice for Penelope at the Rome premiere!
1. Top model Coco Rocha in a breathtaking Zac Posen gown at the 9th Annual New Yorkers for Children Gala. Coco Rocha is known for her runway appearances, ad campaigns, great looks, and most importantly...her impeccable sense of style! I included pictures of the detailing in the dress so you all could see how truly wonderful it really is. This dress is a piece of art! I especially love the colors Zac Posen used for it and the sleeves! There is no one who could make this dress look as beautiful as Coco Rocha makes it look. Well done my dear, well done.

Festival Fever!

Bring on the music! That's right, it's time for the annual music festivals that we all know and love. In honor of Coachella this weekend, I have decided to write a blog post full of music festival outfits. So get out those maxi dresses, cut-off shorts, crop tops, and awesome boots! I love all of the bohemian inspired pieces and effortless style that music festival fashion entails. There is something about festival outfits that make one feel calm and at peace with the rest of the world...or maybe that's the music. Either way, I am obsessed with the clothes! I got my inspiration for the festival outfits that I've put together from DSquared2's Spring/Summer 2012 RTW runway show. Every single look screamed music festival! Here are some looks from the show:

If I Were Emma Stone's Stylist...

Emma Stone. She's famous, funny, and fashionable. She has risen to super stardom after playing the part of Jules in the comedy Superbad, which also starred Jonah Hill and Michael Cera. After that she continued to play supporting roles in movies such as The House Bunny, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, and Zombieland. However, it was in 2010 when Ms. Stone put herself on the map by landing the leading role of Olive Penderghast in the hit comedy Easy A. Next came Crazy, Stupid, Love in 2011, where she starred opposite Ryan Gosling. Later that year, Stone landed the leading role in a movie that became a HUGE sensation. Yes, I'm talking about The Help.
As if being a mega movie star wasn't enough, Stone is also a Revlon spokeswoman and a full on fashionista! She has become the one to watch on the red carpet. With all of that being said, I wanted to spread my love of Emma Stone and her incredible style by showcasing her red carpet looks from the past and creating new ones that I could see her wearing in the future (maybe at some of The Amazing Spider-Man premieres, eh?). So here are Stone's best-dressed winning red carpet looks...
